In this article the author discusses how diaries of Holocaust victims expose their situation of total impotence. He demonstrates by a 'literary' reading of two diaries, how the diarists relate their story of powerlessness while expressing the sense of impotence that accompanied their pain, loss, humiliation and trauma.
