States that we must strive to arrive at the realization that the Holocaust is part of the historical consciousness of every generation everywhere, and is a central part of present -day Jewish identity. The future of the Jewish people is dependent , more than ever upon the relationship of the Jews themselves to their past, with their wonderful Jewish heritage, and with the terrible tragedy, and with the self -examination the follows from this historical consciousness.
