This article is a memoir written from documents and notes taken during the years of the Holocaust. The author and his wife had identical experiences from the beginning in Germany, emigration to Holland in 1939 and "rounded up" in 1943 and taken to Westerbork camp. From there with the second "Hollander transport" reached Bergen-Belsen in January 1944.
