This essay describes the life of Nathan Zev Herskovic whose eventful life was the result of the turbulent times through which he lived. He went through World War I, the effects of the Great Depression, survived the suffering of the Holocaust and finally came to Australia to start a new life hoping to fulfil his life-long dream of visiting Israel.
