In January 1942 Kovner met with Glazman and Wittenberg to form the United Partisans' Organization. When the liquidation of the Vilna ghetto began in September 1943, Glazman led a group to the Rudnicki forest to fight as Jewish partisans. This is an extract from a letter by Kovner to Hashomer Hatza'ir partisans 17 March 1944.
