An overview of the aid efforts made by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and its cooperation with Jewish aid organizations, most notably the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and the Relief Committee for the War-Stricken Jewish Population (RELICO) in Geneva is given. The Red Cross worked with these bodies to channel food, clothing and medicine to Jews trapped in wartime Europe.
