Tens of thousands of Jews passed through Nazi concentration camps in late 1938, then again in 1943 and at the peak of the "Final Solution", 1941-43. It is by tracking the paths of individuals and groups of Jews through this network and analyzing the interactions of the different camp systems that the full complexity of the Holocaust can be comprehended
