The author was born in Holland in 1940 and he and his parents survived the Holocaust. After the Holocaust he was silent about his memories of being in hiding .In 1981 at the First World Gathering of Holocaust Survivors he realised other child survivors, similarly to him, were silent about their experiences and traumas. He helped found the Child Holocaust Survivor's Group of Los Angeles. Child survivors found their voice and each other. There is now an annual meeting under the auspices of the World Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the Holocaust and their descendants.
