[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
The death of R. Schneur Zalman of Lyady in 1812 left a vacumn in the lives of the Hasidim. The two candidates for leadership were R. Aaron Halevi, Zalman's leading disciple and R. Dov Baer his son. Before long a war broke out between the two. This chapter examines the course of this war and considers it's significance.
