The authors examine epistemological issues involved in teaching about the Holocaust. They conclude that in spite of the problems of teaching the Holocaust, teachers who avoid it can lose a key educational opportunity. The teacher's job is to equip students with strategies to handle prejudices they bring from their home or digest from mass media.
