Some Judenrats rejected the idea of armed resistance within the ghettos or of escaping into the forests to join the partisans. Others approved of the resistance groups in their ghettos and gave them moral and material support. Some Judenrats accepted the idea of resistance in general, and approved of attempts to save individual lives by escape. Examples of various Judenrats activies in different ghettos are mentioned
