In 1942 the leadership began an intense debate of how to deal with
both Jews in 'mixed marriages' and mixed-race Jews. The arrested Mischlinge were concentrated by the Gestapo in a building in Rosenstrasse. German women assembled in front of the building calling for the relase of their husbands - the Rosenstrassse protest
