Greece was occupied by June 1941. On July 11th 1942, 9000 Jewish males were amassed for forced labor. At the end of 1943 the Nazis created 3 ghettos in Salonika and by March, deportations to Birkenau began. 90% of the Jews were lost in the Holocaust.
