Semi Moos was born in the German village of Randegg in 1883. After graduating as a doctor, he served as a medical officer and then as director of a military hospital, and established a reputation as a leading gynaecologist. After the Nazi seizure of power he made his way to Palestine and in 1949 he moved to Australia
