Ilona Blair nee Reichman was born on 12th December 1929 in Uzhorod, Ukraine. Ilona spent time in Auschwitz (May 1944), Neuengamme in Hamburg (July 1944) and Bergen-Belsen (March 1945). She was liberated from Bergen-Belsen in April 1945. In June she left for Sweden and then onto France. She arrived in Australia in 1951.
