Literary biography by Stefan Zweig whose theme "The World of yesterday, memories of a European," memoirs-written while in exile. Edgardo Cozarinsky chose to pose Zweig's suicide as a starting point of this movie and goes back in the life of this secretive man who was desperate and in his lifetime, one of Europe's best-known writers.
