This is a biography of Eliazar Lazar Margolin (1875-1945), who was a lieutenant-colonel in the Australian army during World War I, a Jewish military governor in Israel, and founder and defender of the settlement of Rehovot. Also considers why Australian history has ignored Marglin's contributions.
