Recounts his experiences in Lithuania when the Russians and later the Germans invaded his hometown of Kovno (Kaunas). He survived the Slobodka ghetto, many work brigades, and both Auschwitz and Dachau. Gordon has harsh words for the Jewish police and presidium (council) and also describes how many Lithuanian and Ukrainian national cooperated enthusiatically with genocidal activities.
