A scholarly study of Canadian immigration policies and the effect of those policies on Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany. Concludes that the immigration policy relative to Jews was based on antisemitism. The development of immigration policy is traced from the 1920s through the war years and immediate postwar years, and the tragic results of the policy are discussed. Almost no Jews were allowed to immigrate to Canada. Book is based on interviews, official documents and archival material.
