Page 2 of the supplement shows an illustration by Marcuse titled “Torpedoes, Man’s deadliest Naval Weapons.” These illustrations show the loading and firing of a torpedo. Marcuse’s signature appears on this page on the top right of the lower right illustration. Ernst Marcuse (1900-1985) was a commercial artist and illustrator who came to Australia in 1939. He produced many war illustrations for The Argus Newspaper and joined the Australian Army where he produced many visual aid material for training and illustrating for Army publications.
