Descrizione
Though the delicate political problem of deporting intermarried Jews had previously been deferred, in early 1943 a variety of the Reich's power centres aligned in an effort to move ahead with their removal. At least 2000 Jews of such unions were interned in Berlin but when the Rosenstrasse protests commenced and then continued despite efforts to disperse them, Goebbels intervened and ordered a cessation to the operation.
