An account of the Cockburn vs Davis scandal, in which Letitia Cockburn, servant, accused Rev. Alexander Barnard Davis of the York Street Synagogue, of sexual harassment. Rubinstein uses the case to argue for the low prevalence of anti-Semitism in 19th century Australia.
