Leni Riefenstahl's gypsy question revisited: the gypsy extras in Tiefland

Leni Riefenstahl made four documentaries and two feature films, which she directed, co-scripted and also starred in. Her second feature film was Tiefland made during the second World War and she used more than 100 gypsy extras taken from two gypsy internment or collection camps, but the film was not released until 1954.
