Descrizione
The author argues theologians and philosphers of religion need to pay close attention to the logical matters of confirmation and disconfirmation when they attempt to answer questions regarding divine justice - and this nowhere more so than when Jewish thinkers attend to the issue of theodicy after Auschwitz. Katz in this essay critically reviews some of the efforts that have been made in this area as a first step towards trying to think through to a more substantial, defensible Jewish theological response to the Shoah.
