Counting my steps: an autobiography

Writes of his early life as a Jew in Nazi-occupied Europe. Evacuated at 11 from Vienna to Holland, he escaped capture during the Nazi raids on the ghettos by hiding in an attic. Under an assumed identity, he travelled into Germany in the crew of a cargo ship and worked for a secret agent in the German Air Ministry.
