The book has wooden covers (possibly olive wood) with a drawing of camels and the word "Jerusalem". The book is inscribed to Rodney from his father, Chester Adams. The book is housed in the handmade, calico envelope in which it was mailed from Australian Imperial Forces soldier Chester Adams, who served in Israel from 1939-1943, to his son, Master Rod. Adams, 2 Flat, 223 Birrell St., Bondi, NSW. The envelope has Australian Stamps, censors stamp and signature, and the sender's details on the reverse.
