A number of studies have explored Israeli court cases that applied the Nazi and Nazi collaborators (punishment) law of 1950. The defendants were Jewish kapos who were considered to be collaborators. Most of these studies blurred the lines between criminal law and moral judgement. This article examines the law through the lens of Joseph Lamm who was central to shaping and implementing the law
