Description
It is here argued that, following the Shoah, the Chistian churches must recognise that it represented the summit of centuries of anti-Jewish teachings and attitudes on their part. They committed the theological error of believing that, with the coming of Christ, God has rejected Israel and nullified the covenant with the Jewish people. The author avers, on the contrary, that there is no contradiction between Israel and Christ since Israel's true mission was to prepare Christ's advent. Post-Shoah Christian theology means rethinking Christology in biblical terms by recognising Jesus' Jewish blood.
