Description
Discusses the ethical and moral dilemmas faced by Jewish doctors, nurses and other medical personnel in the Warsaw grhetto. The author distinguishes two types of dilemma faced by medical personnel. The first was to what extent they should put their lives at risk to save or treat others. The second involves moral conflict; situations in which medical personnel were obliged to choose between two evils such as taking part in selection processes; mercy killings or even to kill an individual so they would not betray the whereabouts of a group in hiding.
