A preliminary overview of the diverse musical life that thrived among Jewish DPs. Draws on a portion of the extant archival evidence. This chapter proposes that musical life provides a valuable lens through which to explore an issue of wider historical significance: how surviving victims shaped their understanding of what had happened to them.
