Description

Chapter 15:

In 2015, in the aftermath of a second election defeat in a row, the British Labour Party experienced a major convulsion. It elected a hitherto marginal figure, Jeremy Corbyn, as its leader. This was presented by Corbyn and his supporters as a move to the radical left, a claim that has been largely taken as self-evident, although it is by no means the case. Much depends on what is meant by the radical left, which has taken several different forms over time, not least in relation to the question of antisemitism.
