Letters from Westerbork

These letters were written mostly from Westerbork transit camp near Amsterdam and continue some of the optimism displayed in her diary, but she also reveals her realism by facing her probable doom without really accepting the role of victim. Hillesum served on the Jewish Council at the camp.
