The red enameled triangle with the letter P symbolises Polish nationals imprisoned in the camps. This medal takes the form of a cross, with the obverse depicting barbed wire and camp poles. The letter P stands in an inverted red triangle in the middle. The year 1939 is shown on the left arm, 1945 on the right. Inscribed on the reverse is “RP / WIEŹIOM / HITLEROWSKICH / OBOZÓW KONCENTRACYJNYCH” translating to the “People’s Republic of Poland to prisoners of Nazi concentration camps”. The “RP” indicates the medals circulation as post- 1989. The medal ribbon has vertical blue and white strips. It is not known to whom this medal belongs as there is no accompanying provenance.
