The donor, George Boski, a child of 13, is seen in the middle in front of his sister Rose (wearing dark glasses). Also identified in the photo is Leon Wise (second on right, in light-coloured suit) and Tom Keleman. George was born in Paris in 1935. During the war his parents were deported to Auschwitz. Only George and his sister survived. They lived in orphanages in France organised by the OSE (Oeuvres de secours aux enfants) and immigrated to Australia in 1948. This image represents the story of survival of an orphan, growing up in orphanages and eventual success in Australia.
