The shul had been vandalized during the war and never restored, They picked up pieces of stained glass window as well as this floor tile from "the exact position where Shlomo used to stand with his father and pray as a child". The Synagogue was built in 1901 – 1902 by architects Jakab Dezso and Marcel Komor in the Art Nouveau style.
