DescripciónPostcard written by the donor, Anna (Hanka) Kalfus (nee Tintpulwer), parents Maurice and Miriam (Maria) Tintpulwer in Bendsburg ghetto (Bedzin, Poland) to Alfred Schwarzbaum in Lausanne, Switzerland, 8 May 1943, three months before they were deported to Auschwitz where they were murdered.
They write, "Please send as soon as possible the same parcel which all of our friends have already received. You do know me for many years and you do know that I would not bother you with that if it were not urgently required. I am expecting your response as soon as possible." Alfred Schwarzbaum escaped from Bedzin to Lausanne; from there he conducted relief and rescue work for Jews in his homeland through Relico (The Relief Committee for Jewish War Victims).
