DescripciónNewspaper clipping showing illustrations and sectional drawings of the French submarine called Surcouf and the Japanese pocket submarine.The drawings are titled “The french nation has built Surcouf, which is the largest and most Powerful Submarine in the World.” The illustrations are signed by Marcuse on the lower right hand corner.The newspaper clipping is part of a double page spread. Ernst Marcuse (1900-1985) was a commercial artist and illustrator who came to Australia in 1939. He produced many war illustrations for The Argus Newspaper and joined the Australian Army where he produced many visual aid material for training and illustrating for Army publications.
