The ceremony was to be held on 30 March 1943. The illustration, by J. Giles, shows a servicewoman pulling a coffin on wheels, with a mummy wrapped in "red tape". She is sweating and puffing to pull the coffin towards the crematorium in the distance. En route, a cow is eating grass and a bird sings on a sign post indicating that Townsville is "Around the Corner" in the opposite direction. The coffin is heading towards "Air Board", which is 2001 miles away.
