It was the first appearance of Light Horsemen since the second World War. All men in the photograph served in the 12th and 6th Light Horse Regiments. Of particular note is Seargent Jack Pollack (far right when looking at the photograph) who participated in the charge of Beersheba by the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade on 31 October 1917.
