There are handles on each side and the box was lockable but there is no longer a key. Inscription on top: "MUTUAL-FARMS PTY LTD" refers to a company created to facilitate the intake of refugees. The box is also connected with Walter Levi BRAND (1896-1964), a prominent Jewish Welfare worker. He kept his personal memorabilia and important historical material pertaining to Jewish Welfare e.g. photographs in it.
