DescripciónTablecloth, obtained in a village near Budapest, 1940. It is white with red and black pattern along its length - the pattern presents traditional Hungarian folk motif.
The item was donated by Livia Klein nee Kertesz (known as Lili), born 13 September 1919 in Budapest, Hungary, to Szeren Kertesz (nee Meisels) (mother) and Ede Kertesz (Kohn) (father). Livia survived as a forced labourer from 19 March 1944 to September 1944 in the Tungsram radio component factory (Egyesult Izzo, Ujpest), then from September 1944 to November 1944 she was in a Jewish House at 52 Kiraly Street Budapest, Hungary. From 4 November 1944 Livia was incarcerated in Ravensbruck concentration camp, Germany and then from 20/12/1944 to April 1945 'arbeit lager' concentration camp Leipzig, Germany.
