Margareth Szekeres (born 10th November, 1883) is the mother of George Szekeres. She was married to Armin Szekeres, many of her documents identify her as Arminne Szekeres nee Margit Zipser. She was widowed by the time she came to Australia in 1951 and was naturalised in 1957. From Hungary, George Szekeres and his wife Eszther spent several years in Shanghai, then migrated to Australia in 1948. He became a Professor at Adelaide University, and Eszther worked as a teacher in Adelaide, South Australia. They arranged for George's mother to join them in Australia.
