Lessons from history? The future of Holocaust education

While much Holocaust education takes place in the classroom, it is Holocaust museums, and those museums that extrapolate from the Holocaust to broader content such as genocide and human rights, that have emerged as leaders in this field. This chapter examines a selection of Holocaust education programs in three leading museums. They include the Anne Frank House, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the South African Holocaust and Genocide Foundation
