Descripción

How should teachers handle the fact that genocide has been perpetrated again and again since World War II, in such paces as Indonesia (1965-66), Bangladesh (1971), East Timor (1975-1990s), Cambodia (1975-79), Guatamala (early to mid-1980s) Iraq (1988) Sudan (1989-95) Rwanda (1994) Srebrenica(1995) Darfur (2004-09). Many educators who are ardent about teaching their students about the Holocaust are not equally ardent about so-called other genocides. By teaching about various genocides a teacher might plant the seeds of concern in their students
