Holocaust by bullets

Before the death camps were established, the einsatzgruppen were already annihilating European Jews and Roma in the territory of the former Soviet Union with the help of the local inhabitants. This article recounts Father Desbois efforts to gather testimony from local people who witnessed these mass shootings and where possible to bury the victims and protect the mass graves.
