Descripción

This article examines a supposed initiative by Himmler to negotiate a compromise peace with the West in late 1943 based on the diaries of Felix Kersten, physician and masseur to Himmler. According to his account he met an American, Abram Stevens Hewett, President Roosevelt's personal representative, in Stockholm but by the time Himmler agreed to negotiate it was too late. Kersten's account conflicts with Schellenberg's account.
