Descripción

The first transport of Bosnian Jews to camps took place in June 1941, and the largest transport of Sarajevo Jews later that year. Most of Bosnia's Jews died in 1942. The Holocaust significantly altered Bosnia and Herzegovina. Under the communists, Bosnian Jewish property was nationalized. The contemporary non-Jewish perspective on the Holocaust in Bosnia has caused pain in the Jewish community. Most Jews believe that the anguish will not be over until the question of Jewish personal and communal property is fairly settled
