The Catholic theologian, Pawlikowski, examines the two areas of teaching and liturgy with respect to the image of Judaism they have traditionally conveyed. The phrase 'teaching of contempt' refers to an age-old phenomenon in Christian history. Since the late 50s and early 60s the main elements have largely been eliminated.
