Lowy focuses on the rescue and support of Jews by both Hungarian and Romanian gentiles. Most accounts of Christian help to persecuted Hungarian Jews relate to Trianon Hungary. Diplomatic rescue did not have much impact on Northern Transylvania, as it almost exclusively took place in Budapest
