Why science and religion need to cooperate to prevent a recurrence of the Holocaust

In American society today, there are two great forces that shape the moral consensus and determine what is legitimate social policy - these are science and religion. Science needs to be checked with moral judgments. Religion needs to be checked so as not to become a vehicle to justify violence and not to be a source of demonizing of others
